ORGANIC VS CHEMICAL Soil fertility Chemical fertilizers contain acids. These acids dissolve “soil crumbs”, thus preventing  rainwater from entering the soil. Organic Fertilizers improve the soil fertilization in the long term. Soil Life Cycle Chemical fertilizer’s acidity changes the soil pH, killing microorganisms that prevent plants  from contracting diseases. Organic fertilizers provide nutrition to such microorganisms. Ground Water Chemical fertilizers leach away into our ground-water without fully benefiting the crop. Earthworms are killed which otherwise assure soil aerating as well as decompose organic matter.
